Workout #2 for the week DONE!!! I woke up this morning feeling a little sluggish, but got my booty out of bed and just started with my run!! Even though this workout calls for 1 mile run, I ended up with 1.3 miles around my community. I like to track my distance & running time with an app call MapMyRun… check it out! I feel pretty good about myself, seeing the 10:06 minute / mile pace, even with having Luc in the stroller and my dog running beside me!
I finished off the remaining 10 exercises for the day outside in my front yard and burned a total of 238 calories, 23% from fat!
Some of the meals & snacks that I made or am making today:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, sliced tomato, and half of a sandwich thin, as a post-workout power breakfast. This totaled about 200 calories 15 grams of protein, 10 grams of fat, and just 2 grams of sugar. I felt good for about 2 hours, and then made myself a Blueberry-Mango Smoothie with Greek Yogurt.
Blueberry – Mango Smoothie
Serves 1 with about 175 calories, 15 grams of protein, 24 grams of sugar, and 3 grams of fat
I used fresh fruit because that is what I had, I am sure you can used frozen and just eliminate the ice cubes.
1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
1/2 cup of fresh mango
1/2 cup of Greek Yogurt (I use Fage 0%)
1/4 cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk
A couple of ice cubes
Blend until smooth
